In short

Being a configuration management consultant – or conf’ for those in the know – is a bit like being in charge of the control room at Cape Canaveral linked to the ISS.

Complex systems are a hobby to you, and you have no problem juggling increasingly sophisticated IT tools. Without you, the team up there would be very lonely! You are the link between the system and the users, able to manage all the changes made throughout the life cycle of a system (hardware, software, documents, etc.).

You are usually the right person to help the user, and also to guide them when breaking projects down into configuration units, for example. As a good custodian, you know exactly how to produce, manage, trace and maintain technical data!
