Scalian plans to recruit 2,300 people to support exponential growth

Le Groupe Scalian

Scalian, an international consulting and engineering group, is pursuing its HR strategy to support the group’s rapid growth. The company, which employs 5,500 people in 11 countries, relies on the support and commitment of its employees. Certified Great Place To Work® for the 3rd year running, Scalian is announcing 1,700 vacancies in France and 600 abroad by the end of 2024.

Strong growth drives big needs in recruitment

To pursue our development in France and abroad, we have implemented an ambitious recruitment plan with the aim of maintaining the 22% organic growth achieved in 2023. To date, we have sales of 520 million euros, and plan to reach 1.5 billion euros in 2028, thanks also to external growth“, says Caroline Nancy, Human Resources Director.

In 2023, 1,200 people joined the Group in France. In 2024, of the 1,700 positions to be filled in France, the profiles sought are as follows:

  • C/C++/Java/Angular developers
  • DevOps engineers
  • Architects
  • Scrum Masters and Product Owners
  • Project managers or AMOA IT
  • Data Engineers
  • System Engineers
  • Software testing and validation engineer
  • Linux Administrators/Engineers

All these positions, which are permanent contracts only, are mainly aimed at experienced engineers and consultants with 3 to 5 years’ experience. The recruitment process includes an initial telephone interview with a recruitment manager, followed by an interview with a manager. This is followed by a technical interview and, in the third stage, meetings with consultants.

A solid HR base and a managerial organization that promotes local presence

Constantly listening to the expectations of Scalian’s employees has enabled us to put in place a rich social offering aimed at supporting them in their daily lives, making their lives easier and giving them ever greater flexibility, notably through teleworking. Particular attention has been paid to parenting, soft mobility and skills development.

The managerial organization is based on a new skills repository that reflects the career development and career paths available to employees. These opportunities are supported by the Training Academy, which has extended its programs for upgrading business skills, and by our networking in communities for exchanging practices and expertise, for an ever more learning organization.

Supported by local management, this system enables us to set up new channels for listening and to organize regular, direct exchanges in order to build mutual trust between management and teams.

With local managers and a dedicated HR unit in each region and country, we ensure that all our employees are listened to, responded to and individually managed in their careers. To best meet their needs, we work with them to build a tailor-made career path and facilitate job, function or international mobility. As part of our commitment to professional equality, quality of working life and the right to disconnect, we encourage teleworking, work-life balance and skills development”, adds Caroline Nancy.

For the 3rd year running, Scalian’s commitment to its employees has been rewarded with the Great Place To Work® label, which recognizes companies where it’s good to work.

Key figures:

It reflects all the investment and hard work we’ve put in internally to develop and grow all our teams. Today, we are continuing to build on this virtuous momentum, enabling us to open up long and rewarding career prospects for our employees,” concludes Yvan Chabanne, CEO of Scalian.
