TEST – Mobility

Electrification is rewriting embedded architectures. Software-defined vehicles are redefining safety standards. Rail modernisation is compressing delivery timelines. The automotive and rail industries are navigating a transformation that no single discipline can absorb alone.

Safety, software and systems at the heart of mobility’s reinvention

No mobility program today is purely a hardware challenge, a software challenge or a safety challenge. It is all three at once. Scalian addresses that convergence with 30 years of expertise in railway supervision and control, multi-skilled teams across seven countries, and rigorous mastery of Cenelec SIL4, ISO 26262 and ASPICE standards.

Accelerating mobility without compromising safety.

From safety-critical systems to software-defined vehicles

Development and validation of embedded software and advanced driver assistance systems, across the full lifecycle from system architecture and ASPICE-compliant development through to safety process definition and functional safety qualification. For a major OEM, we defined safety processes and template pools for driver assistance systems, giving teams a certification-ready foundation in a highly complex, safety-critical embedded environment.

Engineering connected vehicle platforms and digital services that extend value well beyond the vehicle itself. For a French OEM, we designed the connected telematics units and delivered embedded and offboard software solutions, coordinating business, IS and supplier teams to bring new services to market. Our capabilities cover connected unit architecture, mobile applications, data integration and cloud-based service platform management across the vehicle lifecycle.

Supporting OEMs and suppliers in achieving and sustaining ASPICE compliance across development, project management and support processes. For a major automotive group, we designed ASPICE-compliant procedure models and coordinated milestone planning across more than 50 sub-projects. Our training, coaching and process engineering approach helps teams reach and sustain target maturity levels in complex, distributed environments.

End-to-end systems engineering for rail platforms, from architecture and requirements management through to integration, validation and SIL certification. Our engineers work across rolling stock, signalling and infrastructure systems, drawing on a deep knowledge of rail safety standards and a proven track record in programme delivery, to design safer, more reliable and more interoperable systems.

Digital continuity, AI and advanced analytics are reshaping performance across mobility operations. From ALM toolchain modernisation and agile test management through to predictive maintenance platforms and connected mobility data services, our teams build solutions that reduce time-to-market, improve quality and support real-time decision-making across automotive and rail value chains.
