On 8 and 9 October, Scalian took part in the 2025 PEON Conference as an official sponsor, alongside the key players of the nuclear industry. Organised by GIFEN, this event has, in just a few years, become a must-attend gathering for industrial companies, experts and decision-makers committed to the sector’s transformation and performance.

Over two days, the conference brought together professionals to share their experiences, methods and field feedback around a central challenge for the entire industry: operational excellence.

A strong commitment from Scalian to open the event

The conference opened with a presentation by Alexandre Catena, Energy GAM at Scalian, who highlighted the importance of structuring the industry around a shared framework for operational excellence.

In a context of nuclear revival, marked by ambitious industrial plans and a significant increase in projects, he stressed the need to harmonise practices, strengthen process control and support sites in their maturity journey.

His introduction underscored Scalian’s role within the sector: a trusted partner capable of combining methodological expertise, operational support and a strong performance-driven culture.

Scalian reaffirms its long-term support for the nuclear sector

The following day, William Rozé, President of the Scalian Group, took the stage to reiterate the Group’s commitment to supporting nuclear players through today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.

He recalled that the sector is currently facing a dual imperative:

  • meeting industrial requirements tied to an ambitious construction and maintenance programme,
  • while continuing to innovate in order to support ongoing technological, organisational and environmental transformations.

Scalian positions itself as a long-term partner to prime contractors and operators, delivering concrete, proven and field-ready solutions adapted to real operational needs.

A conference focused on practical insights and proven methodologies

Among the key moments, the presentation by Stéphane Derouin, Scalian expert in Value Management, generated strong interest.

He introduced a hybrid project approach designed to combine operational efficiency, adaptability to uncertainties and lead-time reduction.

His contribution demonstrated in a very practical way how robust methodologies—when properly adapted to complex industrial environments—can help to:

  • accelerate execution cycles,
  • secure and streamline processes,
  • and improve overall project performance.

These real-world insights sparked many discussions with participants, confirming the growing appetite for approaches that balance methodological rigour with operational pragmatism.

A meaningful and forward-looking event

Beyond the presentations, the 2025 Péon Conference offered a valuable space for discussion between industrial players, experts, institutions and partners of the nuclear sector.

The conversations highlighted strong expectations around:

  • upskilling and competency development,
  • structuring and standardising practices,
  • continuous improvement,
  • and fostering a shared culture of operational excellence.

For Scalian, this edition was an opportunity to reinforce its commitment and to engage directly with field stakeholders on the challenges they face daily.

See you in 2026!

Scalian warmly thanks GIFEN, all speakers and participants for the quality of the discussions and the richness of the exchanges.

We are proud to contribute – alongside the entire sector – to building a nuclear industry that is high-performing, structured and sustainable.

We look forward to the next edition of the PEON Conference, with the same ambition: driving industrial performance to support the future of energy.
