Mission
The Scalian Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence is dedicated to all aspects of data and AI, with the mission of supporting our employees and customers in developing and using this technology for real-world applications.
Scalian has developed an AI Code of Conduct to guarantee ethical and safe practice, in line with the AI ACT, the European regulation on AI. We ensure total data confidentiality, while fully integrating environmental sustainability and social responsibility issues into our daily practices.
Industrialize your performance
Thanks to our expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Data, we can tailor solutions to your organizational, operational and innovation needs.
Solving your current challenges, scaling up, preparing for tomorrow… Whatever your problem, your sector of activity, or the cross-disciplinary expertise required, Scalian can draw on the strength of a multi-disciplinary Group of 6,000 people, and on its experts all over the world to bring you a turnkey solution that really meets your needs.
When used properly, AI knows no limits, no business or sector constraints.
Humans and Technology:
Because AI is not immune to societal and environmental issues, Scalian is committed to complying with the recommendations of the AI Act: all current and future projects strictly comply with regulated uses. As with all our other areas of expertise, ethics and sustainability are key issues for us, both internally and externally.
To this end, we work with frugal AIs, and pay particular attention to energy consumption. Algorithm transparency, respect for privacy and non-discrimination are founding principles of our approach to AI.
We are also opposed to any abusive and unregulated use of these technologies. Far from replacing the human being, this tool is above all a formidable assistant, enabling us to achieve unprecedented gains in time and reliability.
Our trainings
Among our range of services, Acculturation is essential to any integration of Artificial Intelligence into your business. Our Br[AI]nstorming workshop helps you define use cases and describe your project requirements.
We also offer a more comprehensive training module designed to popularize the basics of AI, its challenges, advantages and points of attention. This module enables employees and managers to become more aware of this technology, which creates opportunities and is a valuable aid to human intelligence.
“This program covers the essential foundations for acculturation, combining theory and practice. It enables employees to understand the key concepts, applications and challenges of AI while exploring its potential for learning.”

Insights
A few emblematic projects carried out by our AI Center of Excellence:
Nerthus
Nerthus is a predictive AI for the protection of water resources. This tool anticipates the risk of cyanobacteria blooms in freshwater bodies. This multimodal AI uses meteorological data, field data (recorded via sensors placed on site), and satellite imagery, to predict several days in advance the proliferation of these photosynthetic bacteria that can unbalance ecosystems.
This tool is essential for preserving our environment and its flora and fauna, as well as for managing drinking water networks and human activities linked to beaches, fishing and agriculture.
CMS
This AI can analyze all types of contractual documents in an LLM (learning model) built specifically for this task. The user can then interact with a chatbot to extract any data from the analyzed document. The chat responds autonomously to requests. Filters can also be created to isolate certain key information, such as trial periods, contractual obligations, or certain risks. The Contract Management System can also automate the analysis of multiple documents and extract the data onto a spreadsheet.
This tool drastically reduces the time needed to search for information, enabling the entire database to be managed with unrivalled speed and efficiency.
Data Tooling
Data is becoming a company’s core asset. It is essential that all stakeholders within a group share a common vocabulary, a unified tool, and easy access to data to make higher value-added development and operating decisions.
Our Data Tooling solution consolidates and standardizes data, and creates a unified environment for task management. This reduces costs and risks thanks to a controlled end-to-end governance model.
Shopfloor
Shopfloor enables aircraft manufacturers to monitor their final assembly lines (FALs) with an on-board solution that analyzes assembly data using AI. The software identifies aircraft components, classifies their status, and completely anonymizes the human beings in the images. As a result, manufacturers can distribute reliable, comprehensive data on their manufacturing processes to their network.
This solution processes data as close as possible to the assembly process, while enabling continuous remote monitoring of a complex industrial process.
ATR Sonar
A database of sonar images used to test our algorithms for seabed classification and object detection tasks.
Our software simulates the sea surface and the signal to mimic the measurement process. Raw data is calculated based on surface condition, topography and kinematics. We offer a fast simulation that updates the sea surface at a frequency well below that of the radar pulse repetition rate, thus considerably reducing the computational cost.
